This term we are getting to know each other and learning classroom routines.
We are learning all about Statistics and becoming "Data Detectives"!
We are asking questions, finding answers to these questions and displaying data (information) on a picture graph, also called a pictograph.
We began by asking everyone in our class this question: "When is your birthday?"
We each drew a picture of ourselves and made a picture graph or pictograph by gluing our drawing above the month that our birthday is in.
We were able to talk about the months of the year that had the most, the least or the same number of birthdays.
Here is a photograph of Emily, Meera Bai and Silvie who all had their birthdays in the Christmas holidays. They are standing near Room 1's birthday picture graph or pictograph.
