This year our learning theme is SURVIVAL
This term we will be learning about...Dance and drama for our performance in the school production this term.
We are learning to...
create a sequence of movements in time to music; work cooperatively with others to create a dance sequence.

Reading books. Writing about our personal experiences, report writing and retelling narratives
MATHS:
Number knowledge and strategy. Geometry - We are learning to name and describe 2 and 3 dimensional shapes.
VISUAL ART:
Drawing and painting - WALT mixed media and Maori motifs to create an artwork
HEALTH & P.E & Sport: Jump Jam.
e-LEARNING: blogging, kidpix (to share on our class blog)

Reading: Books go home Monday to Thursday and our poem of the week on Fridays.
Spelling: Spelling notebooks go home each night with 3 words to learn.
N.B. Please ensure the notebook is in your child's book bag every day as they will be learning these words at school and testing each other (buddy testing) each Friday.

Pohutukawa Sports: Every Friday at 9:00 - weather dependent.
N.B. Please send your child to school wearing appropriate footwear for playing sport. For example: trainers or sneakers.
